Connect Your Own Address for Ad Landing Pages

Quick Reference Keywords: Landing pages · Own domain · Subdomain · get.yourbusiness.com · DNS record · CNAME · GoDaddy DNS · Cloudflare DNS · Web person · Launch blocked

Overview

When Siren builds landing pages for your Google ads, they run on your own website's address, like get.acmeplumbing.com/water-heater-replacement. Searchers trust an address with your name in it, and your ads send people to your business rather than a shared brayv.ai address.

You can build and preview pages with Siren any time. A campaign that uses brayv.ai landing pages launches once your address is connected. If you'd rather not connect one, your ads can send people to a page on your own website that has your brayv.ai form on it.

It takes one DNS record. Your website stays exactly as it is: the record only adds the new address (get.) next to it. brayv.ai finds where your DNS is managed, shows you that company's exact steps, and checks the record for you.

Estimated time to complete: 5-10 minutes (or send it to your web person in one click)

Before you start

  • You need to be able to sign in where your domain's DNS is managed. That's usually where you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Squarespace, Wix, Namecheap...) or your web host. Not sure? brayv.ai tells you.
  • You can do this before or while Siren builds your campaign. Starting early means launch doesn't have to wait.

Set it up

  1. Click AI Marketing in the left menu and open Brand kit.

  2. Find Website for your ads (marked Needed for landing pages in AI ads until it's connected) and click Connect your address.

  3. Check the address. brayv.ai suggests get. plus your website's domain; you can change the first part (for example go. or quote.). Don't use www, which belongs to your website. Click Next.

  4. brayv.ai shows the record to add and where. It looks like this:

    FieldWhat to enter
    TypeCNAME
Name (some providers say Host or Alias)get
Value (some say Target, Points to or Data)the address brayv.ai shows, like customers.radiant.page
    TTLleave the default
  5. Click Open [your provider] DNS settings and follow the numbered steps on the screen. They use your provider's own button and field names. Each value has a Copy button.

  6. Leave the window open, or close it; brayv.ai checks on its own. You'll see:

    • Looking for the record: it hasn't shown up yet. Most changes appear within minutes, some take up to an hour.
    • Record found. Securing your address: brayv.ai is getting a security certificate for it, usually a few minutes.
    • Live: your address is connected. Campaigns with brayv.ai landing pages can launch, and their pages run there.

brayv.ai keeps checking for 7 days and lets you know when it's live.

Have someone else do it

  • Send it to your web person: in the setup window, enter their email and click Email. They get the record, where to add it, and a link to check that it's working (no brayv.ai login needed). You can also Text it from your phone or Copy the instructions.
  • Do it together: click Book a 10-minute setup call and we'll walk through it with you.

If brayv.ai says something's off

What you seeWhat to do
"your DNS provider added your domain to the end"The value saved as customers.radiant.page.yourbusiness.com. Edit the record and enter the value with a period at the end: customers.radiant.page.
"has an A record (an IP address) instead of a CNAME"Delete the A record for get and add the CNAME record instead.
"Cloudflare is proxying"In Cloudflare's DNS records, click the orange cloud next to the record so it turns gray (DNS only).
"points to [something else]"Edit the record's value to the address brayv.ai shows.
"there's already a record named get" (at your provider)Edit or delete that record first, or pick a different first part in step 3.

Frequently asked questions

Will this change my website? No. Your website and email keep working exactly as before. The record only creates the new get. address for your ad pages.

Why can't my ads launch on a brayv.ai address? Pages on your own address look like your business to searchers, and keeping every account's ads off one shared address protects how Google treats them. Siren still builds and previews your pages right away; only the launch waits for your address.

Siren says my campaign can't launch yet. What do I do? Open Brand kit > Website for your ads and finish the setup. If you already added the record, the status there tells you what brayv.ai is waiting for. Once it says Live, launch again.

Can I stop using my own address later? Yes: in Website for your ads, click Stop using [your address]. Live ads go back to the brayv.ai address first, so they never point to a page that isn't there. New campaigns with brayv.ai landing pages can't launch until you connect an address again.

What if the record gets deleted later? brayv.ai checks every day. If the record disappears, it moves your live ads to the brayv.ai address and tells you, so no clicks are lost. Add the record again and they switch back.

Why can't I use my main domain (yourbusiness.com) itself? DNS doesn't allow this kind of record on the main domain, and your website lives there. A subdomain like get.yourbusiness.com keeps your website untouched.

What's the privacy policy linked from my pages? Your pages' address also serves a privacy policy for your business (get.yourbusiness.com/privacy), linked from every page's footer. You can read it by clicking Privacy policy in a page's footer in the preview. Brayv provides it as a courtesy: Brayv isn't legal counsel, and you're responsible for its contents. If you need to change it, contact [email protected] before you launch.
