Build a Google Ad with Siren

Quick Reference Keywords: Google Search ads · Siren · AI Google ads · Keywords · Search terms · Google ad budget · Google ad headlines · Landing pages · Launch Google campaign

Overview

People on Google are already searching for what you sell. Siren, brayv.ai's AI ad strategist, builds a Google Search campaign that shows your ad to them: it asks what you want to advertise, researches what people search for, what clicks cost and what competitors say, writes the ad, can build a landing page for each ad, and checks everything with Google before you launch.

Everything Siren builds appears in a live preview on the right that you can edit, and nothing goes live until you click Launch campaign.

See it first: Watch Siren build a Google campaign for an example pool builder, landing pages included. It's a guided tour of about 5 minutes, and nothing is sent to Google.

Estimated time to complete: 10-15 minutes

Before you start

  • Connect Google Ads in Settings > Integrations.
  • Fill in your Brand kit (AI Marketing > Brand kit): your logo, colors, services, offers and proof. Siren uses it for every ad and page, and it can build it for you from your website.
  • Decide where your ads send people:
    • Your own page with a brayv.ai form, chat or calendar on it (see Forms). That's how a click becomes a lead brayv.ai can track back to the ad.
    • Landing pages Siren builds for you. These run on your own web address, like get.yourbusiness.com, so connect it in Brand kit > Website for your ads (see Connect your own address). You can start while Siren builds; the campaign launches once it's connected.

Build the campaign

  1. Click AI Marketing in the left menu and open AI Ads.
  2. Open the AI Ads - Google tab.
  3. Click Create Google campaign with Siren.
  4. Answer Siren. It asks one thing at a time:
    • What to advertise. Tell it the service or product. Not sure? Tell it what you sell and it suggests where to start, using your own results and the market.
    • Where. It suggests an area around your business (or the zip codes you win the most business in). Your ad only shows to people in that area.
    • Research. Siren looks up what people search for, what a click costs, and what local competitors advertise, then sums it up for you in plain words, including the budget it recommends. If your budget is too small to work on Google, it tells you.
    • Your offer and what happens next. Siren asks what you'll offer to get people to reach out (a free estimate, an amount off this month, financing, a free demo...), with examples of what competitors offer. Then it asks what you want a lead to do after filling out your form, like booking a free in-home estimate. Your ad and page tell people that up front, which brings fewer junk leads.
    • Landing page. It checks your page loads and has a brayv.ai form, chat or calendar. No good page? Siren builds one for each ad group, with your form on it:
      • It first suggests a photo or two that would sell the service: click the photo button under the chat to add yours from the media library, or let Siren create illustrative ones.
      • It may ask a couple of quick questions that make the page more convincing, like whether the estimate is free. Siren saves your answers to your Brand kit so every page can use them.
      • Each campaign's pages get their own form, named "AI Ads Landing Page - (your campaign)", so you can tell where leads came from: full name, cell phone, email and texting consent, with a button for your offer in your brand color. The page tells visitors what happens after they send the form, based on the journey the form sends leads to, so the form must be connected to a journey before you can launch.
      • Pages list where or whom you serve (your towns, the states you serve, or the industries you work with), because people add those words to their searches.
      • If your Google Business Profile is connected (see Reputation), pages show your Google rating when it's 4.4 stars or higher, and cards with a few of your best reviews about that service, word for word, with stars and the Google logo. Review counts are always rounded down ("230+"), so they stay true as you get more.
    • The ad. It writes 1-3 groups of keywords, an ad for each (up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions that Google mixes and matches), and extras like short selling points. The ad doesn't show a phone number: people reach you through the Brayv form, chat or calendar on your page, so every lead lands in Brayv.
  5. Siren checks the whole campaign with Google and tells you when it's ready.

Tip: You can leave and come back later. The campaign and the chat save as a draft under Drafts on the AI Ads - Google tab.

The preview on the right

  • Live ad preview shows how the ad can look on Google. Click Another combination to see how Google mixes your headlines.
  • Needs attention lists anything that would stop the launch, such as connecting your own web address for Brayv landing pages.
  • Campaign shows what it sells, your offer, what leads do after the form, what they reach out about (used in your journey's texts) and the form's button. It, Ad group, Searches to skip and Callouts can be edited directly: click Edit, change it, Save. Keywords go one per line; put one in [brackets] to show the ad only for that exact search.
  • Budget and expected clicks shows Google's estimate for the next 30 days (clicks a day, spend, and the average cost per click), plus a cautious case: how many clicks your budget still buys even if every click costs the top-of-page price.
  • Landing page shows whether your form, chat or calendar was found on your own page.
  • Photos for your landing pages shows the photos Siren can use on this campaign's pages (AI ones are marked AI). Click the empty square to add more, or hover over one and click X to remove it.
  • Landing pages by Brayv previews each page on a phone or computer. Each page shows a phone speed badge: brayv.ai runs Google's PageSpeed test on every page automatically (green from 90, amber from 50), because faster pages rank better and cost less per click. Ask Siren for any change, including different photos.

Your landing pages' privacy policy

Every Brayv landing page links a privacy policy for your business in its footer, covering your form, texting consent, and how your Google and Meta ads measure results. To read it, click Privacy policy in the footer of a page in the preview.

Important: Brayv provides this privacy policy as a courtesy. Brayv isn't legal counsel, and you're responsible for its contents. If you need to change it, contact [email protected] before you launch.

Launch

Click Launch campaign. It stays greyed out until everything under Needs attention is fixed; hover over it to see what's left. brayv.ai builds the campaign in your Google Ads account (usually under a minute), then:

  • Live: Google reviews new ads, usually within a day, and they start showing once approved.
  • Built: waiting for billing: billing isn't set up in Google Ads yet. The campaign goes live by itself as soon as it is.
  • Google didn't accept the campaign: click Fix with Siren and Siren fixes what Google flagged.

After launch

Click the campaign's name on the AI Ads - Google tab to open its page:

  • Results: spend and clicks from Google next to your leads and won opportunities from brayv.ai, per ad group and keyword.
  • What people searched: the actual searches that showed your ad. Click Skip on one that isn't a customer and the ad stops showing for it.
  • Keywords: pause one that spends without bringing leads.
  • Ads: Google's review status and a rating for each headline (Best, Good, Low).
  • Daily budget, Pause and Resume.
  • What changed: every change brayv.ai, Siren or you made, including changes made directly in Google Ads.

Siren keeps improving the campaign over time and suggests changes on the AI Ads page.

FAQ

Why Google Search and not Display or YouTube? Search shows your ad to people actively looking for what you sell, which brings the best leads.

How much should I spend? Siren recommends a budget from what clicks cost for your keywords, aiming for at least about five clicks a day. Clicks on Google often cost more than on Facebook, so expect fewer, more ready-to-buy leads.

Why do my landing pages need my own web address? Pages on your own address look like your business to searchers, and keeping every account's ads off one shared address protects how Google treats them. See Connect your own address.

Can I change the campaign in Google Ads directly? Yes. brayv.ai picks up pauses and budget changes made in Google Ads. For bigger changes, it's easier to ask Siren.
